UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE ASSISTANCE
If your business suffers a closure or temporary shutdown, the S.C. Department of Employment and Workforce may be able to provide unemployment insurance assistance for employees. Please refer your employees to SCDEW’s website or the SC Works Midlands facility for assistance.
On Monday, September 30, 2024, Governor Henry McMaster and S.C. Department of Employment and Workforce announced that individuals living or working in 13 target counties may be eligible for Disaster Unemployment Assistance (DUA) funds. Those 13 counties include: Aiken, Anderson, Bamberg, Barnwell, Cherokee, Greenville, Greenwood, Lexington, Newberry, Oconee, Pickens, Saluda, and Spartanburg.
